Senior School 2022-07-18T18:03:12+00:00

Welcome to Kia Tupu Whaanau

We are a group of Year 7 and 8 students. We have three senior classes in our school.  Each class attends technology classes onsite once a week engaging in a range of activities.

This year we have introduced the “Tuakana’ program which is aimed at allowing our students to undertake acts of service. This role also builds leadership skills and allows our senior students to support and awhi our younger students. Some of the roles include: being a road warden, house captain, library monitor, sports monitor, leading assemblies, canteen worker, and wet day monitor just to name a few.

Each senior class has its own tv screen and a class set of computers. This means each student is able to access online learning tools such as Write that Essay – a toolbox to support writing, Mathletics, and Reading Express.  Our senior students also have the opportunity throughout the year to take part in regular sports events each term, which also leads to interschool competitions. These events include swimming sports, cross country, athletics, and winter sports – (rugby league, football. netball, and hockey).

Our team is led by Mrs. Kisiona along with Mr. Kisiona and Mrs. Ellery.

We hope you enjoy browsing through some of the wonderful work that happens in these classrooms.
