Atawhai Whaanau

In our Whaanau, we are a class of 21 who are enthusiastic learners, caring towards others, and love to set and achieve our goals. We strive to complete all our mahi to the best of our abilities in accordance to our curriculum FOCUS. We have been learning about different cultures, and exploring indepth maaori culture through Te Kakano and Kapahaka. We enjoy the outdoors completing our Hauora goals that we set for ourselves as well as the odd game of T-Ball/Silent ball/Basketball.

Write that Essay: We are learning to write paragraphs and reinforcing our knowledge of the 12 sentence styles. The current paragraphs that we have learnt are The Lawyer paragraph and The Hammer paragraph.

DMIC: We learn through culturally responsive problems that can arise in our everyday lives. This helps us become problem solvers and question when we are unsure. This term our FOCUS has been questioning and justification. Questioning our peers gives us autonomy over understanding our learning and justifying our mahi contributions, helps my peers understand my thinking.
